Hold the Line

How to play

• Goblins, skeletons, pirates, ogres and worse march on your keep in 25 waves, with a boss every fifth wave. If the keep falls, the run ends.
• Move your hero with WASD, the arrow keys or a right click. On a phone, drag on the left side of the screen. Scroll the mouse wheel, or press + and -, to zoom in and out.
• Your hero attacks whatever is in reach. Q, E and R are your first skills; F unlocks at level 4 and G at level 8. Press a skill, then left click where it should go (right click or Esc cancels). Press it twice to throw it at the cursor straight away. On a phone, tap the skill, then tap the map.
• Kills give gold and experience. Every level you pick one of three talents.
• Between waves you get a breather in camp: buy items (up to 20, from common to legendary, reforged up to five stars), lock up to two wares so they stay when the merchant restocks, upgrade the tavern for better wares more often, upgrade the keep for more health and archers, build towers on four rings of plots and barricades on the roads, and patch up the keep. Enemies break towers and barricades too.
• Endless mode never stops: every wave is a little bigger and tougher. Most heroes fall around wave 30; the sharpest get to 50 and beyond.
• Items share tags like Fire, Frost or Storm. Two or four of a kind wake up a synergy.
• Every run earns valor for perks and new hero paths, so the next run starts a little stronger.
