How to play

• Eight players drop into the pit: you and seven rivals. Each of you starts with 100 health. Last one standing wins.
• Every round starts with a lesson from the W3Schools Python tutorial. Then you plan: buy units from the shop, drag them from your dock onto the left half of the board, and press Ready. The enemy sets up on the right, hidden until you are ready: nobody sees anyone's placement before the fight. Monster waves never bring more monsters than you can field.
• Every unit is a Python idea, and its ability is written as real Python. Hover or tap a unit to read its code.
• Fights play out on their own. Lose and you lose health: more if the winner still has a lot standing.
• Level up by combining: three copies of a unit merge into a 2 star unit, and three 2 stars into a 3 star. Each star means more health, more attack and a stronger ability. The shop shows how many copies you own.
• Every unit has a topic (what it teaches) and a role (how it fights). Field 2, 4 or 6 different units of one to wake its synergy (a 2 star unit counts as 2, a 3 star as 3). Assassins leap to the enemy's back line, Supports heal the whole team.
• The fights happen on an island, and every round brings new weather.
• You start with no units: buy your first ones from the shop, which always rolls at random. Your level sets how many can fight: 1 unit at level 1, one more for every level, up to 10.
• Every unit has a rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary. The rarer it is, the less often it shows up and the more it costs. Buy XP to level up: each level lets one more unit fight and makes rare troops show up a little more often. Keep gold to earn interest: 1 for every 10, up to 5 a round. Win or lose streaks pay extra.
• Between rounds comes a pop quiz on the lessons so far. Every right answer is +1 gold, and getting them all right adds 1 more.
• Some rounds are bug hunts: everyone fights Python errors like SyntaxError and KeyError for gold. New units only ever come from the shop.
• Keys: D reroll, F buy XP, E sell the unit under the mouse, Space ready, L lesson, C synergy chart, 1-4 answer, Esc pause.
