Rumor Mill version 0.1
The first version of Rumor Mill, an online telephone game for 3 to 12 players. Write, draw, describe, pass it on, then read back what became of every rumor.
Additions
- Added rooms for 3 to 12 players, each on their own phone or computer, joined by a four-letter code.
- Added the round: write a rumor, draw the slip you are handed, say what the drawing you get shows, and keep passing.
- Added Draw first, so a round can start with drawings instead of words.
- Added two lengths: Everyone (every chain passes every player) or Short (about half).
- Added clock settings:
- Fast: 30 seconds to write, 60 to draw
- Normal: 45 seconds to write, 90 to draw
- Slow: 70 seconds to write, 150 to draw
- No clock
- When time runs out, whatever is on your slip or pad gets sent.
- Added the reveal. The host turns the pages, everyone sees the same slip, and anyone can stamp an entry.
- Added albums: anyone can save a chain as a picture at the end.
- The host can start a new game in the same room.
- Refreshing the page or losing your connection puts you back in your seat.
- If the host is offline for 20 seconds, the next player takes over.
- Rooms and every drawing in them are deleted 3 hours after the last move.
- Added idea prompts full of office meeting humor.
- Added the look: pink "While You Were Out" slips, a yellow legal pad and a red rubber stamp.
