Major updatePosted
Towers, five skills and a bigger meadow
Hold the Line version 0.2
Version 0.2 makes the battlefield 50% bigger and gives you much more to work with: tower plots around the keep, five skills for every hero, and a deeper item shop with five rarities.
Additions
- Added towers, built on four rings of plots around the keep:
- Arrow Tower
- Hex Spire
- Healing Shrine (also mends nearby towers)
- Towers have health. Enemies near a tower attack it, and a destroyed tower has to be rebuilt. Towers get 30% health back between waves and can be repaired, upgraded or torn down.
- Added build mode: see the whole map and tap a plot to build, upgrade, repair or tear down.
- Added the Siege wave modifier: enemies go for your towers first and deal double damage to them.
- Added a minimap in the top right corner.
- Every hero now has five skills: Q, E and R from the start, F at level 4 and G at level 8. Keys 1 to 5 work too.
- New skill sets:
- Bjorn: Shield Slam, War Cry, Earthsplitter, Stone Skin, Mountain Wrath
- Ember: Meteor, Flame Ward, Inferno, Flame Wave, Firestorm
- Wren: Volley, Piercing Arrow, Arrow Rain, Gale Shot, Sky Hunt
- Shade: Shadow Dash, Smoke Bomb, Poison Blades, Whirling Blades, Death Mark
- Added 58 items in five rarities: common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary. Legendaries carry a special power.
- Added 20 item slots.
- The merchant now offers 6 items, and you can lock up to two so a restock keeps them.
- The odds for each rarity are shown above the merchant. No legendaries appear before wave 4.
Tweaks/Improvements
- The map is 50% bigger, with six curving roads into the keep. The camera follows your hero.
Bug fixes
- Fixed Ember's meteor. It now flies in from the upper left, rock first.
